In my last summer before I finished college, I was feeling burnt out in my architecture career path. I’d gone into it because I loved to draw and cared about sustainability—architecture gave me a real-world connection to art and environmental movements. But in the summers, I was exhausted from working in an office, staring at a computer all day. That last summer I’d just started dating someone I already knew was incredibly special—Jamie!—and together we decided to take a summer off from our career ambitions to work on an organic vegetable farm.
We fell in love with the work, the people, and the rhythms of living seasonally. This is our seventh season, and we’ve never looked back. We’re thrilled now to have a small farm of our own, bringing together our love of beauty, eco-consciousness, and community.
Alongside Lily, I’ve worked on farms in Oregon, Montana, and Hawaii. I love long days in the field, learning about new varieties, and the explosive joy of a farmer’s market.
While working on vegetable farms, I made it a point to bring a farmer’s market bouquet home to Lily. Seeing the joy it brought her and the upliftment it brought into our home, it wasn’t long before we started dreaming of growing our own. Flowers have been there for so many of our favorite moments—weddings, birthdays, Wednesday morning pancake dates—we hope to bring some of that joy to you.

Eliza is at the heart of our farm operations, bringing joy and creativity to everything she does. You may know her as a friendly face at the farmer’s market or from one of our pop ups around town. In addition to great customer service, she brings an artful eye to flower arranging and is behind many of our specialty products, from bath salts to flower dye. In the field, she has a can-do attitude that has her harvesting, wedding, and trellising rain or shine. Her experience includes goat farming on the California coast and vegetable production in Wales, among other adventures. In her spare time, you can find her cooking farm-fresh meals, drawing, or going for a delightfully brisk walk.
